About Us
Han Psychotherapy, PLLC was founded in 2023 by Lina Hyun Han, LCSW/LICSW, with a mission to provide compassionate, individualized mental health care. In Korean, the word “Han” carries a profound dual meaning that signifies both “one” and “deep sorrow”. This concept is central to our therapeutic philosophy, recognizing that trauma is not a universal experience but a deeply personal and complex journey.
Guided by the belief that healing is a deeply personal journey, Lina takes a collaborative and individualized approach to therapy—honoring each client’s unique experiences, fostering healing with depth and sensitivity, and providing unwavering support every step of the way.
With over a decade of experience in diverse mental health settings, her clinical background spans to outpatient clinics, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, managed care settings, and leadership roles in clinical management. Lina specializes in trauma therapy for adults 18 and older. Her eclectic therapeutic style integrates evidence-based practices with psychodynamic approaches, emphasizing inner child healing while addressing present-day challenges. In addition to trauma, she works with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, panic attacks, life transitions, marital difficulties, pregnancy and postpartum concerns, family problems, and religious struggles.
She offers services exclusively through telehealth within New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Virginia, Washington, and accommodates appointments across multiple time zones.
